Why use a pineapple symbol for business?

Well, simple, it’s the worldwide symbol for hospitality. In the 17th and 18th centuries, pineapples were pretty rare and expensive so were mostly appreciated by the upper classes. Thus they became a sign of wealth. So, when offered to guests when welcomed into homes, it adopted the symbol of generosity and… suspense please… hospitality! This tradition continued, even to explorers, who continued to use the pineapple as a welcoming gesture. And there we have it, still to this day a pineapple represents hospitality as hoteliers, restauranteurs, publicans etc. etc…. welcome guests into their work homes.
